Trendy Tuesday: DIY Valentine’s Day Dessert
First let me say, I did all this in my Flirty Apron. Love this thing ![]()
I’m really starting to spread my wings in the kitchen. Ok, so I’m actually just now getting into the kitchen. Cooking hasn’t really been my thing and it’s taken a ruffle-y apron to get me in there.
I really shocked us all (including myself) when I whipped up this easy dessert last night off the top of my head.
Look yummy? Pin It!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Waffle Cookies (Like these: Organic Stroopwafel Cookie Waffles)
Strawberries
2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
1 & 1/4 cup Confectioners Sugar
1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Mini chocolate chips
Step One:
Sift Confectioners sugar and Cocoa Powder together in a mixing bowl.
Step Two:
In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream with emersion blender or mixer for about 30 seconds – 1 minute.
Don’t over blend… you’ll end up with butter. Ask me how I know.
Step Three:
Combine sifted sugar and cocoa with whipped cream, adding about 4TBSP at a time until fully mixed and chocolatey.

Step Four:
Plop chocolate whipped cream atop of a Waffle Cookie and adorn with a fancy sliced strawberry.

Step Five:
Sprinkle with a bit of powdered sugar and mini chips to make it look like you slaved over desert all afternoon.
